A full week of Bise and great measurement conditions

Last week the long awaited North-Easterly winds (Bise) made their appearance, bringing with them cold temperatures, snow and most relevant for us also high fog. After initially too much snow fall to conduct measurements we got several days of great conditions.

Preprint "IceDetectNet: A rotated object detection algorithm for classifying components of aggregated ice crystals with a multi-label classification scheme"

A new preprint from CLOUDLAB is available at the EGUsphere that introduces IceDetectNet, a neural network to classifiy not only shape/habit but also microphysical processes of ice crystals.
